why use interims?

interims normally have the following characteristics:
  • objectivityinterims carry no organisational baggage and are not influenced by internal politics
  • experience, we bring a wider perspective to bear on a problem based on the experience of working with different organisations and cultures
  • cost effective, interims can be engaged just for as long as needed without any of the long-term costs of employment such as pension contributions, sickness and holiday pay, rights to redundancy
  • responsiveness, interims can be mobilised in a matter of days rather than the weeks or months usually involved with permanent recruitment
  • low maintenance, we require less management supervision, self starters, goal orientated
  • accountability, interims are typically engaged to implement and execute rather than just provide advice
